"Precious Gift" holds a special place in my art journey. 

During the years 2016-2017, I had the privilege of meeting a remarkable person, a mentor, and a figure akin to a big sister, Ms. Usha Jayachandaran. She is an independent storybook and concept writer, and the creative mind behind this captivating project. The book is a tribute to her grandmother, and when she shared the narrative with me, 

I was instantly inspired to embark on this artistic endeavour. 

The result is now before you – a self-released book that holds 

a unique significance in my artistic portfolio.

One of the most challenging aspects of this book series was the choice of art medium. Usha has always preferred traditional mediums such as paper, 

pencil, and real watercolours. 

She believes that these materials infuse more life into the story compared to digital flat tone cartoons. Eager to embrace a change from my routine of digital software work during my 9 to 7 job since my college days, I enthusiastically accepted this challenge. The result is a collection of vibrant and expressive water colour illustrations 

that beautifully complement the storytelling.
